This is one the most definitive high altitude trek in the Everest region: We discover most of the valleys, cross all the high passes in this area. Extended periods at the high elevation are very rewarded with the finest views and the maximum satisfaction on this extraordinary hike. Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m)


You will arrive in Kathmandu and will met by your Nepali trip leader (Mingmar) and transferred to the Hotel Diplomat. A short briefing will be given on the arrival. Later on Kitbag and other equipments will be distributed. A group dinner will be organized and will be given more information about the trek and next day prgramme

Day 2 Optional Tour in Kathmandu (1300 m)


Today is our trek departure preparation day. Half day sightseeing can be organized those who are interested to do sightseeing in Kathmandu. You may do the sightseeing after the trek as well. If you did the sightseeing today, you will be seeing Bhaudhanath (the little Tibet), Pashupatinath (the monkey temple) and Kathmandu Darwar Squire. Later in the afternoon, can be organized group dinner or self going out.

Day 3 Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2600m)


Today we will transfer to the airport early in the morning. Your tour leader will let you know the departure and breakfast time before you go to bed. After flying 35 minutes flight by small twin water aircraft you will land at small airport in Lukla. Sir Edmund Hillary and his friends built this small airport when he started to his project of building schools and hospitals to serve local peoples in the Everest region. This flight will be very exciting and memorable with the views of eastern Himalayas views. After landing at Lukla, we will meet our trekking crews and will start our trek. After walking about 2 hours, we will have hot lunch prepared by our cook and kitchen helpers. After lunch we will trek to our campsite. Our trekking trail will descend few meters and gradual flat to Phakding. We will cross trekkers, Porters and Yaks on the way. You will see your first Buddhist Mani walls (carved on the stone). Buddhist people walk always clockwise around the Mani walls.

Day 4 To Namche Bazaar (3400m)


We will start our trek after breakfast to Namche Bazaar. We will enter the Sagarmatha National Park area from today. You will see a sign of National Park entrance. Entrance permit will be checked before you enter in the national park. After walking couple of hours we will stop for lunch and continue the trek. We will cross the Dudhkoshi river (Milkey River) and few suspension bridges. You might feel little bit altitude climbing to Namche Bazaar. Our trail is gradual up hill to Namche after crossing the last suspension bridges.

Day 5 Rest Day in Namche.


Namche is a small town of Sherpa inhabitant. Today is our rest day for acclimatization. You may do a half-day hike to Everest view hotel or wonder around the Namche bazaar. There is small national park museum and Sherpa culture museum also. To visit the sherpa culture museum you have to pay $ 1 entrance fee per person. There is a grate view point right by the museum and you can see an excellent view of Everest, Nupse, Lotse, Amadamlam, Kangtega, Thamserku, Tawache and Kongde ri etc.

Day 6 Trek to Thame (4000 m)


Thame is another small Sherpa village. Our trail is gradual flat to Thame and it is fairly easy walk through small lodges and villages.

Day 7 Rest Day at Thame


Rest day for acclimatization.

Day 8 Trek to Lungden

Day 9 Cross Renjo Pass (5435 M) and Camp at Cokyo Lake (4750m)


Today is our one of the challenging day of this trip. We will cross the pass and admire the views of Gokyo valley. Crossing this pass will be an exciting day and probably require the use of ropes to ascend and descend to support and to be on safe side where access is difficult. It will depend on the trail conditions also. There is some chance that we might meet some Tibetan traders descending from the Nagpa La pass that leads through the Himalayas from Tibet with their caravans of woolly yaks loaded with goods.

Day 10 Rest Day (Hike to Gokyo Ri (5483m))


Hike to Gokyo peak (5483 m)We will ascend Gokyo Peak early in morning to grab the sunrise view. It will take about 3 to 4 hours to get on the top depending on your level of fitness and acclimatization. You have to walk on your won pace. It is not a race. You may take up 6 or 7 hours cherished those who though they could not make it at all. Gokyo peak is one of the best spot for view in this region. It will take only about 1 to 1 and half hour to descend down to campsite.

Day 11 Trek to Base of Cho La Pass (Yak Kharka 4800m)


As usual time we will leave from Gokyo lake to base of Cho La pass. We have to cross a small glacier and reach to Tagnag. From here our trail goes gradual up hill for about 2 hours. Than we descend down and will reach to the campsite. Lodge group will stay at Dragnag.

Day 12 Cho La Cross (5420m) and Camp at Zongla (4843m)


This is one the challenging pass. Depending on the weather conditions we will start early in the morning. It will take about 2 to 3 hours to reach to the top. From the top to of the pass to Zongla will depend on the trail and snow conditions. A group co-ordination is required on this day. This is one of our challenging day of the trip. We will have pack lunch today instead of hot lunch.

Day 13 Lobuche (4930m)


After having a challenging day crossing the Cho La, we will have a half-day walk about 3 hours to Lobuche. The successful 1953 British British Expeditions to Everest thought of this place as a warm and pleasant reset spot but now it is became a touristy place with lodges.

Day 14 GorakShep (5288m)


Gorakshep is the last place to camp before Everest base camp. It will take about 3 to 4 hours to get there. Gradual flat, up hill and crossing small glacier will be our trail condition. We will see a good view of Pumori, Nupse, Lotse, Amadablam, Lobuche peak and Khumbu glacier. We may hike to Kalapather after lunch and will see a good view of sun set in the Himalyas.

Day 15 GorakShep to Lobuche (4930m)


Today we can hike to Everest Base Camp and come back to Gorakshep.

Day 16 Tengboche or Sanasa


Trek back to Tyangboche. Tyangboche has a monastery has very beautiful monastery. This is one of the oldest monasteries. We will have a tour in the monastery in the afternoon.

Day 17 Monzo


Trek to Monzo via Namche

Day 18 Lukla


Trek to Lukla and celebrate last night with porters and other crews.

Day 19 Leisure Day


This is a contingency day . Can be utilize anywhere on the trek as per necessity

Day 20 Fly to KTM and Transfer to Hotel


We will have an early breakfast and fly to Kathmandu.

Day 21 Leisure Day


This is leisure a day in Kathmandu. You may have rest and shopping around Thamel. Or you may do sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur.

Day 22 Departure


After breakfast you will have couple of hour free time to wonder round in the morning. After that transferred to airport for final departure
