OVERVIEW

Highlights: Everest Base Camp, Kongmala Pass & Island Peak

This is a combination of trekking and introductory mountaineering trip to Nepal. Trekkers and peak climbers can join together on this trip. Trekking in the Himalayas is must to do activities once in lifetime. In Nepal, Everest region, Annapurna region, Langtang region are very popular for trekking and as well as mountaineering. We are going to put a small group together. Our experienced and professionalism will make a successful trip. If you are interested to join on this adventure secure your seat as soon as possible.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m)


Today you will arrive in Kathmandu international airport. We will pick you up and transfer to hotel. You will have a short briefing at the hotel before you go to your room. Generally there will not be any tour activities today unless requested. Depending on your arrival time in Kathmandu, you may explore the touristy area “Thamel”. You may have dinner in Thamel choosing one restaurant or go back to your hotel for dinner.

Day 2 KTM Sightseeing


Today our sightseeing will start around 9 or 930 am after your breakfast. One of our representatives will introduce a tour guide. Our professional tour guide will take you on the tour and he will look after everything for that day. Today we will visit most important places in Kathmandu like Bhaudhanath (The little Tibet), Pashupatinath (The great Hindu Temple of World), Syambunath (The monkey Temple) and back to Thamel for lunch. After lunch we will have a meeting for preparations.

Day 3 Fly to Lukla (2800m)


We will take a 30 minute scenic flight from Kathmandu domestic airport to Lukla where we will meet our guides and kitchens crews. We will start our trek to Phakding today. This trek will be about 3 to 4 hours.

Day 4 To Namche Bazaar (3400m)


We will trek to Namche today. We will enter to the Sagarmatha National Park today after Monzo. You can not take pictures or videos around the checkpoints where army are standing. We will have a picnic lunch before we ascend to Namche.

Day 5 Rest Day in Namche.


This is our acclimatization day in Namche which is very important. You can just rest at the campsite or do excursion around Namche bazaar. Climbers can hike to Khumjung or Everest view hotel. Trekkers can visit the Sherpa museums and enjoy the magnificent views from Namche.

Day 6 Trek to Tengboche


Tengboche is a very famous place for Buddhist religions. A Buddhists monastery is the main attraction here. A great view of Amadablam, Kangtega, Everest top, Lotse and Nupse views will make this place very beautiful for everyone. A gradual flat to Sarnsa and descend down to Phungi Taga for lunch and ascend to Tengboche through some pine forests and you might see some Himalayan goats.

Day 7 Trek to Dingboche


From Today we will leave the tree line after Pongboche. Gradual up hill will end to Dingboche. Amadamlam view will follow you up to Dingboche on your right-hand side and Tawache peak will be on your left-hand side. We will gain quite bit elevation today. Walking slowly and taking plenty of rest will make your day easy and comfortable.

Day 8 Rest day at Dingboche


This is another acclimatization day. We can have a full day rest or do couple of hours hiking towards Dingboche.

Explore Everest Base Camp and Ascend to Kala Pathar

Day 13 Chhukung


Today we will start early in the morning to cross the Kongmala. We will see a breathtaking views from the pass. After the pass we will descend down to Chukung. (Optional)

Day 14 Trek to Island Base Camp


Today we will trek to Island Peak Base camp. Another half day hiking to the base camp. Climbers will prepare for next day early departure. Our climbing Sherpas will assist you to get ready. Our guides will give you an approximate departure time for next morning. Our climbing Sherpa might set a high camp today if necessary.

Day 15 Contingency day

Day 16/17 Ascend Island Peak and Back to BC


Today we will leave early in the morning to ascend the Island Peak. Our head Sherpa will lead the climbing way today another Sherpa will lead from behind. After ascend the peak again our guide will lead the down way to the camp.

Day 18 Chhukung


Today we will pack our gear and take an easy day down to Chuking.

Day 19 Trek to Tengboche

Day 21 Trek to Lukla


This will our last day of hiking and last night celebration with the guides and porter in the lodge.

Day 22 Fly to Kathmandu


We will leave from Lukla early in the morning to Kathmandu & have free afternoon
